9 years ago we met the most precious boy, he was our first born son.

We had two adorable daughters and now they had a little brother to love.  Gracie always claims with pride that she prayed for a baby brother and now she had one.  Annaleigh was just happy to have her own baby to hold.

Of course, as his parents, we knew he would be wonderful...

What we didn't know, about our tiny, perfect baby
was the incredible joy and blessing he was ordained to be.

We didn't know how our hearts would be torn and broken, learning the news
that he would never do the other rough and tough little boy things...

but we took each day a step at a time, and poured our love into him.

We didn't know that our hearts would grow into a deep love of things of a new kind.

We didn't know the joy of having a child with special needs.

We didn't know the blessing of a different kind of blessing.

We didn't know that we would learn to do things differently and find the JOY still.

We didn't know how a smile would be such a gift.

We didn't know that eyes were used for much more than seeing.

We didn't know that a child who could never speak verbally,
could speak volumes in many other ways.

We didn't know... how one little boy could change our hearts and change lives.

But now we know the beautiful gift you were and are still today!

Happy Birthday to our precious boy!

I know you are having the greatest celebration in Glory!

but we miss you with all of our hearts,

but we will treasure what the Lord has done through your life.

through His grace!

The Lord is my Shepherd

I shall not be in want

He makes me lie down in green pastures

He leads me beside the still waters

He restores my soul

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

for His names sake

even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death

I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me

Thou prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies

Thou anoints my head with oil

my cup overflows,

surely goodness

and love

will follow me

all the days of my life

and I will dwell

in house of the Lord

 forever

AMEN

Remembering our precious Samuel and his beautiful life today as we spread acts of kindness and love to others.

Thank you to all who have chosen to celebrate with us!

May the Lord bless you as you bless others!
