We have never met and don't even live close, but we are blessed to know and pray for other families who have a child with mito. 2 of these precious children have passed away this week.
Corban was not even one year old, yet. He was smiling, starting to say Momma and even crawl! And all of a sudden he was sick and just as quickly, rested peacefully in his mothers arms.
Little Mylee, also passed away. She was 5 and could walk with a walker! She was such a beautiful child, full of life.
I don't even begin to know how to handle losing my child. Night before last Samuel was up most of the night coughing, throwing up, gagging and needing constant suctioning. In the midst of fatigue, and all of this, he looked up at me and gave me the sweetest smile, as if to say, thank you mommy for being with me, I love you. I will never forget that look he gave me. It melted my heart. I thought to myself, I would rather be sleepless with him, than without him. I am heavy hearted for these precious children and now for the families they are leaving behind. I pray that there will be a cure for mito soon!!! Please pray for these families as they try to live each day without their child. I pray they will be given great comfort and peace from our Lord.
Thankful today that Lydia (girlfriend) may get to go home today!!! And Samuel did very well for his gj tube switch out this morning! Also, for friends and the support the Lord blesses us with in this life and the HOPE we have!
* 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV
”Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
