It was a rainy day today at CNH, so we relaxed, did breathing treatments, played games and rocked on the porch. Ahhhh... It was so nice to have Daddy, Mama and Melody here today. We all ate together, told stories and laughed. We ventured outside for a few minutes, when the rain calmed down and rode the Kabota. We also took a few minutes to hang up our ”Samuel Mountain” sign. Every child who comes to Camp New Hope receives one! It makes the child feel so special!

We also have named the trials, ”Gracie's trails” the river ”Annaleighs river” and the cabin ” Micah's mountain house”. :-)
It is wonderful to spend time together and to have Samuel back. For the past month Samuel has been so sick and miserable. He barely made eye contact. But ever since we came, he has been more like himself! He has gotten sick a few times, but he has been more like himself grinning, bright eyed and pleasant. Miss Randy, who runs the camp, said this happens alot with the kids when they come. If you want to know more about the camp their website is http://www.campnewhopeblog.com. It is the only vacation that most families like ours can take. It is hard to go many places when you have to think of a safe bed for you special child, a place to change my child,a place to be able to shower or bathe my child, can we include my child in activities, what can they do?. But at CNH we know all these things are covered, plus our whole family can enjoy the beauty of Gods creation and each others company.
We have no signal or internet in the house, so at the garage (where the games are) I am finally able to post this. Thank you for praying for Samuel, our family and our time together! I am truly trying to enjoy each moment I have with my children...their smiles, their crys, their laughs. Of course, some moments are also fighting, grumpy, etc., but that is part of being a family and having kids! Lord, thank you for the beauty of your creation and the restoration it brings to us. Help us to see You in everything.
Psalm 121:1-8 NASB
”I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not smite you by day,
Nor the moon by night. The LORD will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.”
Thank you Father for keeping my soul, guarding us and protecting. Thank You for being our Help In all circumstances.
A favorite song Tim and I sing and think of when we are in the mountains. May you find restoration today. (Steven Curtis Chapman the Mountain)
